First post.
My 01 tib has been acting wierd lately.
I went to town the other day and shut it off several times and it started fine like it has always done.
Then it wouldn't start?
Checked battery cables-tight.
When I turned it over the dash and roof lights go out, no clicking from starter or noises at all.
It being a standard, I bum started it and got home with no problems.
Turned it off and tried to start it and it started.
Did this 6-7 times starts great!
Last night down in Toronto finishing up our Christmas shopping and no start again!
Bum start it and drove home.
Tried to start it again, but it is a no go again?
Very frustrating.
Any ideas?

Is the engine turning over or no? Can't quite make it out from here.

If you could push start it, but you can't start it with the key, it's electrical. First culprit would be to get it jumped, and get the battery checked. If the engine is actually turning over, but not starting, it could be anything from your plugs, wires, to alternator, though I'd lean towards your battery or alternator since you CAN start it by push starting.

Not turning over or clicking or anything.
Interior lights are very bright and when I turn the key, they go out. Tried boosting it and still nothing. Load tested battery and its good.
I even swapped battery for a new one in my wifes van and still the same. I pushed the button behind the clutch pedal in, but still nothing.

Okay, if you can't jump start it, and battery swaps aren't doing anything, and it is NOT turning over or clicking, check your starter for SURE. You may have lost a ground, or just have a dead starter.

SOMETIMES you can revive one for a few more trips by smacking the bell end of it with a mallet or hammer lightly.

At your own risk.
