Hey all, I just blew my engine, because of transmission problems... I have a 1998 RD1 Tiburon FX with the 2.0L and auto transmission. Is there any chance that, by the grace of God, this combo:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-0-HYUNDAI...1QQcmdZViewItem

would just be a direct swap with what I have? It is less than 50 miles away from where my car is sitting now, and would be a better option for me than rebuilding what I have I guess. I wouldn't know anything about doing this myself, or have the resources, and would most likely have a shop rape me $$$ for it, which is why I'm looking for the cheapest parts possible.
Please let me know, thanks!

It will work, but you will have to reuse your intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors, Idle air bypass, throttle body, MAF, and your sensors.

That engine uses MAP and has a different Intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail, throttle body, etc..etc..

one good look at the engine, and you'll know what you need to replace and what can keep.

$600 isn't a great price though. The going price for a Beta1 or Beta 2 is about $400.

Any of these ebay item #'s will work.

So the engine is a yes, minus those parts Random mentioned, which could possibly still be good on my current engine. What about the mounting points, does anyone know if they line up? Also how about the transmission? Is it the same? Seeing as this is from a 2002 Elantra, is this a Beta II engine? Would I have to find a new ECU or TCM? I mean, it's the same size engine and still auto transmission. Let me know, thanks.
