Flexalite 220's.

Ebay.com, Amazon.com if you have a coupon code, or Summit Racing.

^^^ let me know when you get a price on it..

i'm looking at the flexalite fan and since its an electrical fan, how is it controlled? does it come on only when needed or does it stay on all the time?

what are the benefits of the flexalite fans besides its size?

it's smaller and I BELIEVE it pushes more air than stock fans, but I haven't compared numbers and can't verify that. They look cool and you can get them in black, red, and blue tongue.gif I believe they plug in to your existing plugs and just replace factory fans... kicking in at the same time and controlled the exact same as your factory fans.

Can someone who actually HAS flex-a-lite fans comment on this? I changed topic title to try to grab more attention to the thread

ya ive heard smaller and WAY more power. also you can wire them to a switch i heard so they can turn on automatically and be manueally overridded so you can have them on when you want them

I've got them. Yes they PULL more air than stock fans. You can set it up any way you want to. If you get the dual fan setup, I'd just set it with oem settings. The one that's on at all times will suck more air than the oem fan would have anyways. The other will kick in when the thermostat tells it to. You could always wire the secondary fan to a switch inside the cabin too. I personally only got the 110 (one fan) because the stock passengerside fan is the same depth as the flexalite. I'll try to get a pic up here soon.

There's no major benefit to getting them besides the size. Yes, they will cool better, but most people don't really "need" additional cooling unless they have a turbo. The main reason I got them was so I could run a CAI from my turbo to in front of the wheel well.

Kind to get: Flex-a-lite 220s (FAL 220)

Benefits: size and more airflow

That's about it. You use the factory wiring so that they come on at the sametime as the stock one's would. I got mine from www.sdpc2000.com . Pretty easy install too.

Okay, here's the info on them.

Each fan pulls more air than BOTH of the stock fans combined.

The heat soak you get from long driving periods is GONE.

Your A/C will be about 2 times as cold. I can barely stand turning mine up above 1 now.

They are thinner than the thinnest of the OEM fans, by about 1/4 inch, much more room in there.

Also, I figured a way to install them without losing a drop of coolant or removing a hose.

The colors are Red, Black, Blue and Yellow.

The non Black ones usually cost from $20 to $150 more than the others because distributors are assholes.
