Wasn't there a set that floated around the boards? I thought I remembered a TB and IM that kept getting sold to people so they wouldn't go without while onpol had their's? (Well it obviously was rotated, like the one they bought would goto onpol, then they take the original off when it comes back from onpol, sell THEIR original.) I thought that this setup was ingenious, that way you don't have to find another car for a few weeks, and you aren't paying through the teeth, you simply resell the two. If anyone had the means to do this right now, then I think it would be nice that everyone down the line would pay just S/H for the two parts, and once the chain is done, the last person either simply sends them back to the originator, pays them a set price, or sells them and gives the profit to the orininator. Sound like something that people might be interested in? I think it'd be a nice way to get us Hyundai boys into a more competitive position as a whole. Lemme know

I don't want to mail anything because I need the car everyday. Is there a better replacement IM available for purchase that will have a stronger structure?
I will call around and check to see what local shops can do.
Thanks for the info Random.

The thing that I am concerned about is that I want the most performance out of the Barney throttle that I want to order from SR. I plan on adding the CAI along with the throttle and IM bore.

Please edit your original posts rather than double posting.

The constriction point is going to be your MAF sensor. After the MAF, it is the TB/IM opening. The Barney TB is 58mm. So the IM should be bored out to 58mm or 59mm.

There are SEVERAL sets of spare TB's and Spare IM's floating around. Check the for Sale forums regularaly. You can also try to e-mail Onpol. He sometimes has spares to sell.
