Sorry, I should have clarified my comment. the Gen2 5-speeds tend to dyno higher than the gen1 5-speeds.

The auto I have seen all dyno out between 103 and 105, regardless of year.

My apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

Brendan, your 94 HP, was that done with the elanatra gear ratio's or the Tibbies? That might explain your low readings. Yamankeo's first dyno on his elantra was like 98 hp, till we gave them the right gear ratio info, then it came out to 121 for a 5 speed. Both runs were stock, both runs were on the same dyno.

Actually yeah that was with the older ratio, hummmmm but the dyno we were on was generally reading lower, plus the heat, remember a 2g tib with proper ratios did 119whp with intake, BTB, BIM and exhaust, I did 113whp before cam or exhaust.

Nope. It is either a change in the engine design....or just manufacturing variances...or simply dyno variances.

I dyno'd my '97 Tib with a CAI and a Dual DTM muffler at 115 wheel hp. The really confusing thing is i'm not sure if i have a 2.0 or a 1.8 in my tib. The car appears to be a 1.8 model since there is no sunroof, rear wiper, power side mirrors or locks or the 200 way adj. seats and all that great stuff. But i race FX's all the time and win. Has anyone else dyno'd their 2.0l BETA yet? You guys think my power output is a 2.0l?

Rich.
