That freaking sucks ass. Foam in my throttle body?! that does not sound good!
I haven't seen any problems with mine, but I'd rather not chance it. I just finished building my heat shield box around the filter, too. When recalls happen do they give you a different product for free. I would think they should since there product is faulty.

They should give you a new one for free. Contact Weapon-R about the recall and see what they offer you. They should also pay for shipping!
Does anyone know of any "solid" companies that make intakes for a 2000 Elantra? I was planning on going with a Weapon R... But I'm alittle hesitant now hearing about a recall. I know someone who has a Weapon R Intake on his Ford Probe.. maybe I should cue him in...
