Is there any visual differences at all between 1.8 and 2.0 betas or do they look 100% identical looking?

Looking at the actual motors, for the most part, yes. On the 1.8's, the block has a stamping of RD 1.8. On the 2.0, the block says J2 2.0. This can be found on the front of the block usually under the exhaust manifold. And on a beta 2, the block will say XD 2.0. Hope this helps ya out.
