DONE !! pretty much ate all the meat off the 4 puc disc in 12000 miles, Id say I had about another 1000 miles before the rivets started saying hello to the flywheel and clutch.

engine is pretty much stock, except for a pulley,

my driving habits on a scale of 1 to 3, 1 being all out race, every weekend type thing, 2 ocasional track time, usually revving past 5k rpm in 1st and 2nd, 3 no shifting past 3k rpm, never going to the track.

I would say im in between 2 and 3

haha i think i confused myself on that explanation

but in all for 600 dollars its a great pressure plate, but it need a better disc, one that will last for at least 30,000 miles with a stock engine.

Im going with a stock disc for now until i find a replacement racier disc.

as far as the faces of the flywheel and PP, very minor heat discoloration and no heat stress cracks.

one bad thing, the freakin snap ring broke that holds in the TOB, well just one one the two little pieces that stick up so you can get a grip on it with a snap ring plyer, well i couldnt get it to seperate enuf, so the throw out bearing is not coming off the clutch, Im gonna try and manuever the tranny into place and swing the fork in to place as i guide the tranny in, wish me luck, im doin it tomorrow !!!

weird. I know that high performance clutches would wear out faster than stock, but god damn...

I think you are the 1st one to have this problem though. There is a bunch of people with VHR clutches and I never heard any complaints about wearing out so fast.

Jesus, either you don't know how to shift or you had a bad clutch. Or it wasn't installed properly. Seriously, a clutch should last MUCH longer than 12,000 miles.

Wow, I've had my VHR clutch for around 15-20k miles with plenty of hard driving and it's still holding up strong. Do you rev match your shifts?

Heh, go read some of his recent threads on breaking stuff.

He's a 5 on a scale of 1 to 3.

LOL

Dude, VHR sells higher rated clutches too, not to mention just the clutches themselves.

We could look at a warranty if ya need to.

did you change your flywheel when you put on the new clutch?
even the ones that i have gone through here.. seems to go out fast also. Maybe the stop and go traffic here. i know if you dont break them in right they will die fast as hell

warranty ?? i dont wanna make a fuss, im not posting in the gripes and complaints section assmunch !! if im correct, there is no 5 on a scale of 1 to 3 genius !
I dont need a higher rated clutch, just a different disc !!! one that will last.

if I lived out of the city, and in the sticks I gaurantee that this clutch would last about 25ooo miles, but since im in stop and go city traffic, this clutch is not designed to be heated repeatedly, it can withstand heat, but not friction heat.

THIS CLUTCH IS A DREAM IF YOU WANT A HARD GRIPPING, NO BULLSHIT CLUTCH, IT IS NOT A BAD CLUTCH OR DISC.

its just not meant for the street and daily driving, remember I am talking about the disc, not the clutch.

as soon as i get my friends digi cam, i show you some good pics of the disc, its a c*** hair away from the rivets. and if you know anything about clutches and discs, you will see that it wasnt really abused constantly.

I pulled about 10 track runs on the 8th mile, with this disc.

and I never street race, and i occasionally shift a redline on the street.

so abuse is honestley not a factor here.

REV MATCH all the time, im a heel and toe freaking expert biatch !! lol

and yes the flywheel comes in the VHR kit, and its about half the weight

I could have sanded down the flywheel and clutch face, but like i said its not bad at all, i see no need.

so, where can I get a copper metal disc from, kind of like the VHR 4 puc, but maybe in a 6 puc or full face ?????????

oh and who thinks I can put up the tranny, with the TOB still on the clutch ?? place your bets, cuz im doing it righ now!!
