Which would I notice more of a difference with a Underdrive Pulley or the 1.8 Cam? I am thinking of doing one of these for my next mod.

The underdrive pulley is going to RELEASE some power the accesories rob from the engine, while the 1.8 camshaft is going to MAKE more power, so you figure it out.
Also depends on what you want, once the engine is running above 3~4k rpm's the effect on the underdrive pulley would be diluted some, instead the camshaft would provide power; i'd choose the camshaft over the pulley.

I think that the gain will be more noticeable on the pulleys only changing the of three them..

And the Cam cost exactly the cost of two pulleys....

I choose the CAM.....

You can't go wrong with either one. The horsepower difference is very minimal between the two. I believe the 1.8 cam gives you around 2 to 3 horses and the pully gives around the same. Get both wink1.gif

Just saw this. I think they both will compliment each other well. From what I heard, the pulley set will make the 3-4K range feel better and the camshaft will improve things higher up.

That's what I'm hoping for anyway. That's why I just ordered a set of SR pulleys & will get the camshaft next month.

Just installed my obx underdrive pulley and I can't hardly tell that I put it on. I don't think this mod is worth it for the possible negatives that it could produce. If the gain for the cam is about the same as this I will just skip it and start saving up for some headers.

Well, if you just put that pulley on, no, you won't notice much.

ABQElantra, who did all the pulleys in one weekend, said he noticed quite a difference. I drove his car and I agree, very peppy on the response to throttle.

As for negatives, since it can't cause any negatives, there's no problem. Consider it a gift that keeps on giving.

headers?

you plan a swap?

cuz as far as i have known you only have A header

drillsergeant.gif

NA mods are pretty much worthless

you should just save money and boost your car

for the price of a header you can get a shot of nitrous
