Default underbody pulley

hi,

was talking to a guy at work today and he was talking about some kind of underbody pulley modification that could increase horsepower. im wondering if anyone is aware of first of all, what im talking about, and second if there is one available for the tib. it was something like for every pound dropped on the pulley system was a gain of 10 horsepower.

hope someone knows what im talking about.

its an underdrive pulley. and no horsepower is actually *gained* from it, just *freed* up.
go to unorthodox racing to see their products and get a better explanation fo what one is and how it works. also there have been discussions on this board and other boards about the longterm reliability issues of using one. do a search on this board for *unorthodox racing underdrive pulleys* and i am sure you will find all the info you could ever need to know about it.

I would not put one on a daily driving car. It powers things such as your air conditioning and the such. I've seen many threads about it causing problems. If you are planning on ripping out your heater, ac, sterio and making this a rally car, go for it. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

Speedstate sells an AOS underdrive pully that sells for less than the Unorthodox.

Check it out!

Lightened Crank Pulley

The AOS Racing Lightened Crank Pulley are CNC-machined from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum billet. This bolt-on replacement will lighten the weight on the crankshaft, which equals, more power.

Check out their web page:

thanks all...

you guys rock.

something that would be nice would be some sort of annual tiburon meeting in some place where all owners across north america chill out, show each other's cars, drive around together, have aftermarket manufacturers there, etc...

or is there already one that exists??
