check out www.aemintakes.com they have dyno's with stock versus w/ aem intakes. we're at about 118-120 @ the wheels, and hyundai said 138 @ the crank. thats kinda lame.

edit--> i say its lame because that really isnt alot of hp AT ALL! sure we can smoke neons, focus', most cavalier&sunfires(due to there 3 gear sucking a$$ so much) but really 118 isnt that great at the wheels.

but thats okay with me b/c i bought mine knowing damn well that i will be turboing it. and when i pull up to a mustang GT with 22 psi, and he thinks i have 118 hp at the wheels, itll be a good feeling when he finally catches up at the next light.

What's kind of lame? You lose power in the drivetrain, that's a given.

What a shame.... That HP problem was only on the USA Tibbys????

I feel my car very good.... I even get a 2001 2.2 VTEC Prelude... pritty nice race... I think that we are even in HP... thats without major modification (only a little more compression).... Could be my intake CAM??? I read that the 1.8 CAM is better than the 2.0 (before Tuscani and NEw Elantra, they have it already...)

Not to be an ass, but so many posts get jacked to 1.8L cam posts. Do a search for 1.8L in. cam vs. 2.0 L cam.. And yes, the 1.8 gives 4 degrees more duration, therefore more a/f delivery and more power ;/

TiburonWao, check out this topic as it has a lot on the 1.8-2.0 cam swap there.

Default Cars to steal

I like what I read.... but that topic never said something wrong about the 1.8 cams... It has a little lag on the beginning when you start to move the car... you will feel that it pushes only went you pass the 2300 RPM... more or less....

All the Tiburon Owners can't do smething legally about the situation of HP on Hyundais??? What I read is that The Hyundai Comapny will give to the first owners, bonus in money or parts???
