tranny flush/fill
Tranny's got 39000 miles on it (it's a standard). i wanna know where i should get it done? dealership costs $100. there's also a quick lube place (like jiffy lube, it's a big chain, don't know if it's national or regional) called SpeeDee that charges i believe in the $50's.
i wanna know what you guys would recommend. should i go to the dealer because i KNOW they know what they're doing (meaning they've done 'em enough to know how to do 'em on our cars), although pay the higher price. or go to the oil change place because they offer it for a lower price.
decisions, decisions.....now some input

It usually runs about $50 or so.... make sure they use the right ATF fluid. Hyundai is really specific, just any Wal-Mart brand won't work. I haven't been able to find any here, so I had to buy from Hyundai dealership. I can't remember how much it was, like $5.55/qt.
If you go somewhere other than the dealership, make sure they're using the right stuff... SP-III I think it is... but let someone else confirm that

Yeah and if you don't have proof that is what you used you just voided your tranny warranty. That happened to me and set me back about 3000 when my tranny went out. (would be a lot less now knowing how cheap it is to get one from a wrecking yard though)
if you can get it.. I recommend the redline MTF .
And remember, Hyundai fluid may be a paint, but it is better than what I need to run in my Italian cars... NON EP tranny oil... only the big trucks use that stuff.. so it comes in five gallon jugs.
