Default Tranny fluid with oil

Does anyone ever add tranny fluid in with their oil? I have heard its a good thing and it can work as a detergent, cleaning out all the gunk and stuff in the engine.

I only do it on big diesels that get a good abuse. I fill the oil filter with it during the oil change.

Pretty much all new oils these days have detergents in them, as well as the gas at ALL the stations. So little do you know you've been cleaning it the whole time

SRtech is right. With modern oils there is virtually no sludge. That is also true for Diesel, so I think it is not necessary to do it on diesels either. You do not even get sludge in the oil tanks for central heating nowadays. If you have that much gunk that it would help you have other issues to worry about
