Default Torque Dampers on an N/A car

Is it necessary to have a torque damper on your engine, for an N/A car? To me, they seem like it could be considered rice if you dont have the power of a turbo or even nitrous? Someone want to give me the proper info on that?

Our N/a motors have more than enough power to make the engine move around on its mounts. If you can keep the engine from moving you will improve shifting. Rice, not at all. Automatics with it ... ehh.... maybe?

The engine moves around quite a bit actually. Unlike harder engine mounts it does not lead to more vibrations. It is on my shopping list for this fall
