I was just wondering, I took a trip to Vegas last week, and under the cover and coolness of night
topped my 98 tiburon fx out at 120mph at 5800rpm, my only mods are an injen intake
and high flow muffler (saving for the cat back). was just courious on what every one else is topping out at??

the fastest i had my accent is 115 and it could have gone faster. i had my old accent up to 123.
your tib wouldn't go faster....? or is that just as fast as you got it?

I had it floored for a while, and the road was pretty up and down, I got it to 120 at 5800 so I still have 700rpm to go before i red line. What i really want to know is if thats good for the few mods that i have???

i forget which thread it was but random figured out how fast you guys can go in each gear and i think they supposedly top out at 140. so if your only going 120 with mods then there's something wrong.

ruban don't for get about the rev limiters. do a search most cars top out at like 135 or so. but the road you were on could have cause the problem.

Wasn't looking at the Speedo but I checked out my Monster tach which read 6850RPM in 5 gear. Good O'll open stretch of the mighty 407.

130+-. Never really sure about the speedo's correctness. Still had a little to go, but it took a while to get to that. Had a bit of a tailwind as well. Gotta love those highways that cross the state line. Never patrolled... hehe. That was on a stock 2001 tib manual.

over 130 on a somewhat hilly road... took a good 2 or 3 miles to get there and i wasnt done accelorating but a town was coming up so I had to slow down

also found out when I got to the town that I had some cops chasing me when I began my little treck and had clocked me at 93 in a 65. 3 cops pulled up and let me go on a warning and im a teenage male! ofcourse it helps that the reason I was topping out was it was 4 in the morning and I woke up to my friend telling me he was having an asthma attack and needed his inhaler which was back at his house
