Running rich could cause a lot of fuel to "fall" past the piston rings into the oil. That is nothing to worry about. The running rich problem, however, is. Now to figure out why it's running rich. This happened after you replaced the:

-timing belt

-water pump

-head gasket

-timing belt

-2 intake valves,

Where did you have it done?

- It is possible the intake valves aren't closing, this would not-allow the fuel to burn causing to run rich.

- Maybe the timing was set at exhaust TDC as opposed to compression TDC causing the intake and exhaust valves to open at the wrong cycle although I am sure the vehicle wouldn't run if this happened

- maybe the cams were set on exhaust TDC rather than compression TDC

- maybe the cam sensor was damaged by whoever did all this

These are the just ideas. To me it seems like whoever did the work messed up. If you brought it to a shop, bring it back asap. Well, I would get it towed there on their bill.

Does it seem like not all cylinders are firing? Judged on your descriptions, that is what it seems like to me, but it's hard to tell from here.

Look at this animation it might help

Also if you could take pictures and videos and post them here it would be easier to try and help.

^ TDC is beside the point. Timing on Hyundai engines is straightforward: line it all up like the pictures show in the manual and it is right. A mark on the crank pulley matches a mark on the block, and a hole in the cam pulley lines up with a mark on the cam bearing cap. It is hard to screw up lining up 2 sets of marks.

i am current checking the CMP wiring harness. I have been reading that people with a CMP malfunction, could be caused be a VCT problem. Hyundai don't have a VCT do they? Also the smell of gas through my vents, could that be caused by a problem with the PCSV? I am not getting a code and still don't see any leaks. It just bugging me. It is not exhaust blow back under the car, cause I get the smell at idle facing up wind.

where about is the pcm harness. It says on that website to disconnect the the CMP connector and PCM connector to measure resistance between the 2 and 3, and 2 and 1 terminals. Don't know where the PCM connector is. Any help?

SOrry should have been more specific. Where is the pcm? I figured it would have been connected to it. My apologies.
