Rich man - If yuo rnick does you justice then I guess you wouldn;t need to worry about things like timing belts as I can guarantee you that if yours did break while the car was running, you would have a different tune to sing....
I mean the darn thing costs only $10.00 in S.A so why the heck not change it at 60 000km's whatever the condition.
Sorry I am rather safe than sorry!

Guys the procedure to change the belt isn't very difficult at all, it's a little tight to get to, but otherwise very simple.
FIRST OFF - you must get the engine to TDC - the marks are very difficult to see and you will need a torch and good eyes to see the marks on the pulley and turn the engine over with a 22mm wrench/spanner using the crank pulley's bolt.
Then first the water pump must be removed, the alternator bracket comes off with it. Then you remove the plastic cover from the side of the head covering the belt - this is the part where you need childrens fingers.... smile.gif After this you remove the bottom plastic cover. then the belt is totally oncovered and you can get to the tensioner easily. You use a 15mm wrench/spanner and loosen it and the belt itself will loosen up.
thats pretty much the jist of it, in the turbo kit's instructions there is a detailed section on installing the belt again - I will save this .MPG or .AVI seperately and post it somewhere for all to D/load to inable you to do the belt changes yourself and save some money.
