Timing belt...
That is one of the things you would want to change in your engine BEFORE anything happens, so I'd suggest you change it with no delay.
If it brakes, you could suffer internal damage, and I beleive all of us members like to drive with a heavy right foot at least more than the average driver, so just to be more specific CHANGE IT.

Timing belts should be good for 60,000 miles or 90,000 km. So you do still have some time left.
Uupss, Here in Southamerica the dealer recommends changing the timing belt every 60,000 Km (That's exactly 37,500 Miles)!!!!!Timing belts should be good for 60,000 miles or 90,000 km. So you do still have some time left.
Random, is that 90000 Km the "official" amount of Kms that the dealer recommends?
I'm sick and tired that here all brand dealers abuse from consumers, they ask to change spark plugs every 5000 Km, service every 5000 Km, etc, etc, etc.
oh bah humbug....
those timing belts are amazing hyundai quality...just like the beta engine. i didnt change mine until about 125,000.
and even when it was changed, it was still in good condition, including all the belts. and i live in calgary canada. hello! (harsh winters and f*$ked up weather)
