I looked through REDZ DIY install (which was very well done if you read this) but he didn't mention what gasket he used. I assumed maybe his R-side BBTB came with the gasket. I called the local parts store thinking I could just trim the center hole to 60mm, however none of them are showing any replacement parts. 02.gif It looks like I'll just get the gasket material and make a couple myself, but that gets old fast.

What are you guys with BBTB's using?

make one out of a oil filter box.. tools needed

1. oil filter box
2. pen or machinest dye to make a rubbing of the TB
3. razor knife or sicciors
4, RTV. if you want it to last a long time, after you make it put a thin coat of RTV on it let it dry and then there you go your gasket has a jimmy hat.. . in simiple terms

i have used this many times.. from TB to water pumps

I'd rather not use cardboard. I'd just use silicone if worse came to worse. I'd like to get the thick hard plastic (phenolic maybe?) gasket/spacers that the factory used only without the indentations for the cooling ports.

Anyways I just decided to use my phenolic spacers as they fit just fine without installing the studs...

Most Autoparts store sell gasket paper that you can cut to shape. I'm using that stuff on my oil pan with no leakage problems, so shouldn't be any trouble using it on the TB.

Yeah just before I installed my phenolic spacers I went to Carquest and got a thick high-temp gasket material. It looks like it would work great!

Maybe I can use it somewhere else....
