Default those small k&n filters...

Ok. So I'm in the process of making my own CAI for my 1.5, and I've got a couple Q's...

I know you are supposed to put one of those miniature K&N style filters on one of the tubes, but which one? There is the one w/ the PCV valve and then there is another one.. Not real sure what it does. It goes from the valve cover back to the intake piping.

It's the thing on the far left, after the resonator, before the TB. I'm assuming I want to keep the PCV valve intact, and put a little filter on this thing, where it comes out of the valve cover. I pulled the hose on it today and it didn't do anything. I revved it a few times and I can't tell it does anything except make a hissing sound. I want to make sure that this is what I want to do though... I don't want to go screwing up my car...

btw: does anyone know where I can pick up one of those little filters?? They look like this: http://www.speedtoys.com/~stryder/catchcan...dypcvincar1.jpg That small filter before his turbo. I've checked eBay and can't find anything. I figure since I'm waiting for my pipe and filter to ship here, I might as well grab one of these cheap off the net too.

i hope that all made sense..

Trey, this is what I did on my car. I took off the hose from the v/c (valve cover) to the intake pipe. I then capped the hose hookup on the intake pipe (you can find those caps at any auto store) and then hooked up a breather filter on the v/c end. I then took off the hose from the IM (intake manifold) to the v/c and capped both ends. They are basically there to reduce emissions by burning escaping gases from the crankcase which basically reduces HP. Anyone more knowledgable correct me if I'm wrong. By the way this is on a 95 Elantra but can be done on any car.
