Dammit. after 102,000 miles of smooth shifting, my 2nd gear is grinding a few times. not all the time.. but very softly.. i'm getting a little nervious because the repair shop said it will cost about $1500 to fix. Tommarow I'm putting in new Manual transmission fluid.. I bought 3 quarts of Amsoil 75w90 Tranny oil.. hopefully that would work...

how much did you guys pay to get the syncros fixed?

You could save big bucks on labor if you took off the tranny yourself and took it to them. But yeah, its gonna cost right around that much. If you haven't worked with transmissions before, I wouldn't do it myself.
