Default Suggestions on muffler

hey guys, so i need some opinions here.

i just got my car back from the exhaust shop today and it is way to loud. I just got a 3in downpipe made to run off the turbo and then contiuned it with a 3in straight pipe as well. Im posting this because i need some opinions on what muffler you guys are runnning. I was looking into possibly buying a borla muffler(not sure which one i want yet) but just wanted to get some opinons first before i made a purchase.

Thanks guys

Usually, the exhaust shop will let you 'try' different mufflers. That is, hold a few different sorts of muffler up to the tailpipe and see which one sounds right before welding it in. I'd go with that mang.

You didn't think a 3in straight pipe would be loud?

Haha last year I was full 3inch straight pipe after the 2.5" downpipe it wasn't loud or flowing good enough for me so this year I'm going with a 4" down pipe to the front bumper.

Anyways my friend had a vibrant muffler and it sounded really throaty. Youtube some videos that might help a bit.

I have two glasspacks. It sounds like a 70's Datsun race car.

I want to say Magnaflows have some of the best flow numbers on the market, but that data is based on decade old tests.

I do know that on my other car, the magnaflow (6" inline) lost very little over the strait pipe.

it all comes down to personal preference, one can argue which flows better blah blah blah, but its all gonna be a 2-6 hp difference between brands and some of them can be substantially louder than the other or substantially more expensive
