Default Stupid Idea...

What if I put a 1.6 Beta crank in a 2.0 block? Any benefits like higher revs?

Nope. 1.6L and 1.8L share cranks. 1.6L just has a smaller bore.

The shorter stroke and longer rod of the 1.6L/1.8L crank allow (in theory) higher revs than the longer throw/shorter rods of the 2.0L.
