I was going to order these:

Very stupid question, but since my elantra is DOHC, I would need two of those, correct?

Well, to answer your question, you only need one. The reason is, yes you have a DOHC but both cams aren't the same. You have an Intake cam and an Exhaust cam both of which have different settings for valve lift/duration. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We won't flame ya. (well at least i won't)

 

For THIS particular item, SR is only selling the Intake cam.

The Intake cam used in the Beta2 motors has .8mm more lift, and 15 degrees more duration than the stock beta1 cam you have in your 2000 Elantra.

The Exhaust cam in your 2000 Beta1 Elantra is actaully BETTER than the exhaust cam in the Beta2 motor.

So, for this particular item, you only need the intake cam.
