strange smell for a new car
Hi i just purchased my 2001 tiburon two weeks ago and in seattle and i live in Montana so it didn't take long to get it to the 1200 mile break in. I didn't run it over 4000 rpms until then and i switched to super unleaded after the 1200 miles. I recently raced my friend in his 200sx se-r and i really kicked his ass but after i slowed down my car smelled sorta like rotten eggs. Please help
Thanks

I would not worry about it untill it becomes a persistent repeatable smell. Then you can take it to the dealer and say "this thing STINKS" and show it to them.
usually a smell like rotting eggs is a bad catalitic converter, but they last 100,000 miles, not 1200. It could be the various different plastic/rubber/silocone engine parts giving off fumes as they get heated up for the first few times. Give it till 2000 miles. If the smell persists/gets worse...take it to your dealer.
BTW...you should change your oil and filter (normal dino oil, not sythetic, at 500 miles, 1000 Miles (1500 total) and 1500 Miles (3000 total), then every 3000.
I would also invest in a magnet strap for your oil filter and a magnetic oil drain plug. They will trap the little metal bits that the engine gives off while brakeing in.
