I had to take about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the top of the flange (the one that sits under the motor and ties in to the rest of the exhaust)
Took just a couple minutes with a grinder..

Boring out the holes was a bit more fun... took about 3 attempts to get the holes bored out right so that the header would sit flat against the motor. I'll admit I was being careful so that I didnt wreck it. Someone a bit more bold might have bored it out enough the first time.

All in all I think I spent a total of 2 hours doing the install (including stripping out the old header - which was at LEAST half the time). I had a problem with one of my O2 sensors being cross threaded at the factory - so I had a heck of a time getting it out)

My recommendation is bribe a buddy with some beer. This would be a lot longer job if you try and do it alone... Wiggling the header into place with only two hands would likely result in some colorful blending of 4 letter words.

well that doesnt sound too bad at all.... i planned on grinding the flange before the install anyways just to make sure i had enough clearance. but honestly im having a buddy at a muffler shop help me out... he has a lift and everything so it should go over just fine.
