If you look under your front bumper, in front of the drivers side front wheel and see THIS
Congrats...you have a "Revision-A"
If you really wanna dig...remove the 2 screws holding in the under bumper liner, and look...
If you see THIS.....
Congrats...you have a "Revision-A"
Of course you could have found these photos and many other posts on the subject if you had bothered to search instead of waiting for someone to spoon feed it to you.
The SR CAI will NOT fit MAP (non-north american) tiburons. the SR CAI will NOT fit "Revision-A" 1997's.
The SR CAI WILL fit....
1997-2001 5-Speed Tiburons
1997-2001 4-Speed Automatic Tiburons
1996-2000 5 Speed Elantras
1996-2000 4-Speed Automatic Elantras
There currently is no provision for the "AEM Air/Water bypass", however, one can be made at an additonal cost, if at least 5 people demand it.

LOL @ Random I think that that little post you just gave should be put at the Cold Air Intake page at SharkRacing.com that currently has nothing.
Of course that might be too hard to look for too... rolleyes.gif

1) Yes it would be very nice to have an e-mail informing the CAI is ready.
2) Random, for the non-US spec Tibs and Elantras (MAP based), could we have the same CAI and just add a straight piece of tubing which would replace the MAF? (I know I asked before, but I haven't found a digital camera --long story-- and I hope somebody with a MAP based car can send a Picture to help answer this question).

In theory, since the CAI is made in Korea, they could adapt it to fit KOREAN-SPEC tibbies, then they would know it would fit UK, Euro, South America and OZ Beta motors...

If you buy your own AEM bypass, you could do it yourself. If you want SR to do it it would be about $20 extra plus the cost of the AEM unit. These are just figures off the top of my head. If there were at least 5 guys who wanted it, that would lower the cost on at least the inital set.
In my opinion, they are not necessary, but if you want to spend the extra money for the piece of mind...knowing you can puddle jump your heart out...then go for it!

I hope SR comes out with a CAI for the '03 GT Tib soon. Before I ask when it'll be available, (or if anybody even knows), I'm gonna hit that "search" thingie...
