I bought a Speedstate cold air intake and im havin problems installing it. Firstly, how do you connect the air sensor onto the pipe? ... do you put the sensor inside and connect it outside or just stick it in the hole... if i do that it moves around alot and dont you need a vacum suction or something????

secondly.. where do i put the by-pass valve??

can you guys help.. im about to loose my mind here !!!.. grrgrgrgrgr!!!!!
you guys would save some nice kicks to my tibby..

thanx ; )

you have to remove the rubber gromet from the factory airbox, the one sensor was in originally and fit that into the hole on the aos cai. for the bypass valve you have to actually cut the intake tube. you really don't need the bypass for the aos unless you plan on fording a river or something.

no.no. IF you want to add the bypass valve, yu need to cut the cai pipe. actually, the cai works better without the valve. I took mine off.

If it were Kores version that sits in the fenderwell than I'd agree but since Andre has to deal with extremely harsh winter conditions up here in Toronto, I'd leave it on.

Also, I've never heard of the by-pass valve effecting a CAI's performance.

Andre bring it by this saturday for the GO-kart meet, well get it in right smile.gif, actually the bypass is meant to fit on the mafs and then you bolt the intake on, the air sensor does fit in the hole with the factory air box gromet.

I had a similar CAI on my car all last winter (Civic OBX-R). Never had a problem. Just make sure you give it a good cleaning in the spring.

when you put the grommet in the hole, it'll make the hole smaller. So, just use soapy water when you insert the sensor in. It'll make it a lot easier to insert.
