the S-AFC allows you to "fool" your ECU into adding more or less fuel. This can allow your engine to run better, giving you better fuel economy (possibly) and/or more power.

hmm.. so on a basically stock tib (intake & muffler, wires & plugs soon), would this offer much benefits? or do you have to take it to a dyno, and tune it from there? i believe that's what i read on one of the threads..

if you want to you can get it dyno tuned or you can test and tune yourself.(that's what i'm doing after i install it, but then of course i like to learn by trial and error.)if you don't want the hassle you probably want to go with dyno tuning.

Sorry to go a little off-topic. Does anyone know if a S-AFC would work on a 2002 Elantra with MAP sensors? If it will, where could I find a wiring diagram?

Thanks

Umm, actually, getting to the dyno would be the bigger hassle. lol.. i don't know of any that are within a reasonable range around here.. i just didn't want to get the thing, and then have it be useless, y'know? lol

I know.. smile.gif That's the same reason that I'd like to know more about them. I can't find a whole lot of information about them and there's even less for the new Elantras. I've heard good things about AFCs but haven't heard much about the APEXi S-AFC.

umm, i think he meant this brand in particular.. which would also be of help to me..

i think i'm gonna finish off my exhaust (high flow cat, 4-2-1 headers, and 2.5" piping), and then get this S-afc.

one more question too.. if i get this, would getting an A/F ratio gauge be helpful, or is that integrated into the s-afc? and also, would this work fine with stock injectors and the stock fuel pump?

sorry about all the questions, but i'm really intrigued by this. =)
