Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone has or knows where to purchase a replacement synchronizer set for our transmissions Beta II trans. The dealer I guess right?

Also are the synchros the same between the beta 1 1.8/2.0 and beta 2's?

I will be doing a quaife at the same time so I will need to buy the diff bearings and shim kit but anything else I will need other than that stuff and new synchro's?

Thanks.

2005+ trannys have triple cone synchro's

and just so you know its cheaper and easier to just buy a new tranny. my spot in town has them for $150 and i think they will ship outta state. PM me for details

FYI: i bought my 2006 beta2 trans with 15k on it for $150

I got my motor and trans for 200. But the point is that the synchros are still used. I am interested in knowing this as well as I would love to throw some new synchros in when I put the trans in. I have no idea how good they are but I would do it to be safe.

Also, I doubt his is a 2005+ anyways. But the dealer would know what part goes in there.

For me and TD that are putting Quaifes in its not worth the hassle to go through transmissions swapping out differentials when we could just have a good trans to start out with and keep it up.

^Yeah, thanks for the offer though optimoprime, that is friggin cheap! I had to pay 350 shipped for my trans from ebay.

You never know if the trans has been shifted hard or not, even with only 15k on it. I am starting to think maybe the beta 1 trans's will hold up to more abuse because I have beaten the complete crap out of the trans that is in the car now for 70,000 miles NA in my first tib and now in this one and it still shifts well.

I wonder...

I tried the dealership today and no go, all they can get are already rebuilt transmissions.

Any ideas?

I figure I can try some transmission shops?

Will do, they will probably be trying to shaft me on the prices though. Shifty transmission shops mad.gif lmao.gif .

Would be nice if MadJohn could get in here and maybe help us out.
