We have no speed limiter, we have a fuel cut. The lil fuel cut sensor is located on the fuel tank.

If you removed that you'd probably get rid of the fuel cut... don't think there a CEL for it either unless it throws some sort of emissions/evap code for it.

at what point do we have a fuel cut off? ive brought my tibby over 125 more then once with no issues. ive never hit the redline in 5th, but ive been damn close, and never hit it at all. is it a ATX thing, or maybe a RD1 thing?

i can vouch for this fuel cut off...my rd1 won't even redline in 5th. it hits 120 and the rpm's just drop. it was quite annoying lol.

So since this is all on a track its perfectly legal..haha...j/k...you guys have seen how much I stay on track...

But really why do you want your speed limiter gone, I doubt you will ever hit that in the quarter, and have you ever gotten a high speed ticket?

98 in a 65 a few months back and im still paying for it...

But if taking that sensor off works and doesnt throw a code let me know...haha

come on guys, getting rid of the rev limiter is a huge waste, the fuel cut is at almost 6500rpm. i think it tops out at like 126mph.. there is NOWHERE you will ever need to go faster than that. not in the 1/4 mile, or even street racing. if you get to 125mph and are still losing, over revving, or going faster isnt going to help. theres tons of ways to get rid of it, but theres no point.

what are you going to do when you hit a wopping 130mph or 135mph when you top out the gearing in the beta, and then blow the transmission if your boosted in 5th gear. i know it revs almost to redline, whats the point of going the extra 200rpms?

how bout stay within legal speeds and you wont have to worry about going 5mph faster than what our cars cut off at.

im not saying i dont speed or bust 100 sometimes passing on the highway, or getting on an on ramp, but theres ABSOLUTELY NO POINT to need to go faster than what it cuts off at..
