Here's the overview of what I did:
1. Installed XD intake cam, got timing off, bent all 8 intake valves
2. NAPA installed new valves along with the XD cam, also set the timing between the intake and exhaust cams
3. During downtime I installed the 1.8 pistons w/ new rings
4. Installed new rod bearings, standard size
Things I know I did wrong or should have done:
1. used assembly lube between rod bearings and rod/journal
2. Did not use plastiguage when installing new bearings
Problem:
1. Reassembled motor, installed new timing belt. Went to turn the motor over by hand on the crank pulley. Cam gear turned about 30deg then the motor would not turn anymore.
2. when I installed the pistons, about 3 weeks ago, everything spun freely.
3. Blipped the starter, still wouldn't turn.
Any thoughts???
P.s. this is on a 98 tibby 2.0l

Timing is way off maybe...
Pull the head then check to see if the motor turns by hand...if it doesn't then pistons were not installed correctly...if it does then it is the head. Either bad timing (valves hitting the pistons); the valve springs may not be set correctly after re-installing the new cams, or cams weren't correctly installed. Beyond that I don't know what else it could be.

well where have you read to buy the xd cam from?
everyone here always mentions the 1.8 cam...
and search around hp.com i think i saw instructions on how to time the xd cam BUT your better off gettin rid of it and gettin a 1.8 cam
the xd cam has been proven to add wear to your valvetrain
