Dude, I hope you do. I know you don't drive a tib but if you send me your stock boots, my wife will make you some NICE replacements for them.

Please, let me know ASAP.

Yeah, but you were lied to. I never got to get under the dash man. You had told me when you had the problems that all of the wires were soldered in place for the SAFC, there are NO solder points down there at all, no solder anywhere on those wires. As for what you told me last night about the guys at Hyundai repairing it all for you, it didn't happen. They put some electrical tape on a few of the splice points, but that's it. There is no heat shrink on 90% of the damage down there, and they didn't repair any of the splices, they just wrapped it in place. That's why you had the problems, the TPS being bad was part of it, but the 'covered up' wire damage was the rest. BTW, you bought the Nissan first, ya noob.

The only wires I soldered where the the ground wires that normally came with wire taps, and had to be taped in line in two places in the same ground. As per Randoms instructions on installing an SAFC, wire taps are not sufficient!! Therefore I soldered the two ground wires in line. All the rest went in with spice connects, and the bullets connectors. I also don't know how the other SAFC was installed and what other damage was done by that, I don't do shotty work mang..u know that. And im sure what the dealer told me as far as their "repair" was far from that, but it looked good anyway. After all the (insert expletive here) around with the car I went thru, I was totally tired of it and called it quits. Then when AJ bought it, and u "fixed" it with just a loose wire...or tpm, I was like um OK, but in the back of my mind I knew it would come back, as I had replaced the tpm before. But, if you find the problem and fix it, more power to you, she ran good when she did!! And yeah, I bought the Nissan before the 2, but not as my tuner car, it was for my Daughter, the 2 is for tuning!!!! And for the record....I will never, never buy another hyundai again......unless the Accent SR comes out...that may change my mind!!!

Okay folks, we repaired all the wiring today, cut, soldered, heat shrunk, and while the engine runs a lot smoother, the issue is still there.

What next? We are thinking of tearing out the alarm that's in it, looks like it's got an ignition cutoff in it.

Suggestions?

check the ignition harness. if one of those big 6 wires running from it are cut and have their ends running to say, the alarm system, then temporarily cut and join them to see if your problem is the alarm.

Okay, we'll have to try that this weekend.

Wish I knew more about electronics.

Other ideas folks? Now I have to go get another vehicle.

sounds like your IM is totaly being cut off of air when u release the gas. i forget the name of the part (idle bypass valve maybe) but it allows air into the engine when the butterfly valve is closed on the throttle body.
it might be plugged or stuck in the shut position. its also vaccum line controlled so check your vaccum lines too.

try opening your throttle adjustment screw just enough where the car can get some air. if it still dies then it has to be something electrical.

^^^^***cough***

have u even checked this?

don't give up on her its probly a small problem.
