Remember about the problem i had with my throw out bearing?
Well i was about to install my new bearing i got and the shop decided to flush out the tranny fluid first before removing the Transmission. While it was draining out CHUNKS of metal was coming out!!
They flushed it and put new fluid in and still does the rattling noise. There must be more pieces in the tranny.
Now,i purchased this tranny from a scrapyard that Speedblind told me about and was from a 2000 Tiburon with only 5000 Miles on it.
Now what should i do???
Do i have to replace my tranny?
I have 90 day warranty on the tranny and have 1 month left. The problem is its in the US and im in Canada and its gonna take a while to arrive.
That explains why my car popped out of gear twice?
Im so pissed off,the guy said it only had 5000 miles on it.I find that hard to believe

It could conceivably only have 5000 miles on it....it could just so happen that the driver never bothered to use the clutch during those 5K! eek.gif
That really sucks, man. Hold on to the chunks of trans that came out during the flush. If you don't have those, hold on to any more that you get out. Send those in as evidence when you return the trans.

I reccomend you have the shop that did the tranny install do the next fluid flush, and have them note the "chunks" that come out with the fluid.
Then call/write to the USA company about the tranny, and ask for a replacement. Reference the shop in canada that did the original work, and that also witnessed the "chunks" problem.
It MAY be that you had a perfect tranny, and that the shop did a horrible job installing it.
I hate to say it, but ANYTIME I have heard of a throwout bearing going south...it has always been due to a botched cluch/pressure plate install, or over 100,000 miles. I have yet to hear of a throwout bearing going south of it's own accord for no reason.
Either it was bad when you got it...or the shop botched the install.

I have good news and bad news.!!!
The good news is that they sent me out another tranny with 23000 miles on it and should get it in a few days.
But the bad news is i have to pay for the old tranny to be shipped out back to th US?
They already chraged my Visa $400US and when they recieve the old tranny they will credit me back the money.
Now should i have to pay for shipping the old one back? Its gonna cost big bucks.Im assuming $200
Any help??

You should NOT have to pay for shipping the replacement unit to you. You should NOT have to pay for shipping the old unit back to them. That is pure crap.
of course...in the big scheme of things, there isn't anything you can do about it, you are up north and they are down in cali. Across country borders, I don't think you can do a damn thing...just dispute the Credit card charges when they show up...AFTER you get the new tranny!
