Front wheel drive axles are sometimes refered to as "half shafts". So I'm assuming he means use the accent axles.
If the spline count/diameter is different, you will have to use the tranny end of the tibby axle, and keep the rest of the accent axle. A decent drive train shop should be able to swap the parts at the CV joints, assuming the CV joints are the same size/compatable.
Again, this would be another thing in favor of that full clip elantra. It would come with axles and give you spares to play with.
