Hi,
Ive asked many people, and very few know, and I am getting mized messages, even Hyundai cant tell me, and i cant pull out my flywheel to measure it. So I was wondering if any one knows for sure, or has a reliable source saying what the Crank size for a : Tiburon 2000, Produced: May/3/2000. I4 2.0L, has flywheel crank of 25mm or 41mm?

Im most likely going to order a Fidanza, with a Stage 3 SPEC clutch, not sure yet, but most likely.

From Hyundai Service Technology:

The new crankshafts
(P/N 23110-23710 for the 2.0L); P/N 23110-23510 for the 1.8L) released July 8, 1999 have the following dimensional changes.

A. The flywheel mounting flange (pilot) diameter has been reduced from 41 mm to 35 mm.

B. The flywheel mounting flange (pilot) height has been increased from 4 mm to 6.5 mm.

C. The crankshaft rear flange thickness has been reduced from 20.5 mm to 18 mm.

D. The crankshaft rear flange bolt hole depth has been reduced from 15 mm (± 1.5mm) to 12.5 mm (± 1.5 mm).

NOTE
The new crankshafts are not interchangable
with the previous ones. However, a crankshaft spacer (P/N 23112-23900) can be attached to the new crankshafts to make them interchangeable
with the older crankshafts.

FLYWHEEL AND FLEX PLATE

The flywheel and flex plate assemblies have been changed to fit the new crankshaft. The new flywheel and flex plate assembliesare not backward compatible
with the older crankshaft. However, the older flywheel and flex plate can be made interchangeable
by mounting a crankshaft spacer (P/N 23112-23900) onto the new style crankshaft.

A. The flywheel and flex plate assembly pilot bore diameter has been reduced from 41 mm to 35 mm.

B. The flywheel pilot bore depth has been increased from 5.0 mm to 7.5 mm. Dimension B is recessed.

So if you trust Hyundai, given the manufacture date of your car you should have a flywheel with the 35 mm pilot bore.

go over to fidanza's site - they have a very clear product description. I believe pre-mid-1999 had a different size.

you have the 35mm flywheel as rallyman pointed out. but even if u got the wrong fidanza, either can be made to fit. its been done many times, and hyundai even offers a spacer that fits inside the 41mm flywheel to bolt it up to a 35mm crank.

now do yourself a HUGE FAVOR, and find a clutch that wont fail on you like the spec, search around the forum, there by far the worst choice in clutch's. we have had more failure's, then ones that have held.

wait wait.. did you buy a clutchmasters? or did you get ripped off and buy a Eclutchmasters? those are the cheap knockoff ones on ebay, nothing like a real clutchmasters..

i had a 4 puc clutchmasters, and it grabbed like a SOB. i loved it. although, this ACT one is really nice and alot calmer of a grab.

btw, as far as prices go, i spent:

297$shipped for my 6 puc ACT clutch with HD pressure plate
187$ shipped for my chromoly flywheel
