If I remember right, the quads had limited success with MAF cars and required insane amounts of tuning to get right. So RPW or HVE was only selling them at their shops where they can tune them. Oh, and Aussie Tibs are MAP cars, which seem to respond to the free intake pressure better.

It doesn't seem to make sense, since more flow should work better with a MAFS car, but I'm just echo'ing what I heard way back in the FXtreme days.

Red was initially excited about the Quad setup, since his original plan was madZ-No-bOoSt smile.gif , or naturally aspirated power. I was interested too, becasue NA seemed easier for a weekend tuner, like myself, to install than a turbo. But there were a lot of problems and the Quad TB setup never really made it to the states.

Hopefully Red or Random will chime in if I got any of the details wrong.

RPW makes the Quad TB. They have had a large amount of success with them, however, the MUST be used with a stand alone engine management system such as a Haltec or Motec.

Last time I talked to the Guy at Phantom Racing. He stated to me that there was a customer Louisiana that ordered the Quadd TB from him. He is waiting on a Dyno from the guy.

On the RPW site they also have pictures from a person in the US that recieved one from them.

Wish these guys were on the board, so we can get some info from them!

The Quad throttle for the alpha 1.5 works very well even with a cheapy ECU like Microtech. I have seen numbers in the 100-120 wheel hp range.

The Quads for the Betas are another story. Because the head is such a poor design... extensive head porting, big cams and a very good ECU (Haltech) and a good ECU tuner (Matt)are needed to extract serious numbers. But numbers in the 170-200 wheel hp can be attained.

Note these are all in MAP sensor cars in Korea. We worked extensively with HVE 2-3 years ago to get these quads to market in Korea.
