Default Q about Custom air intake

I was just wondering if anyone could somehow give me the exact angles for the bends and where they are and in what direction so I can give them to a shop and have them bend one for me...?

And I was also wondering if the intake was 2.5" for the automatics.

BTW...I have an automatic 98 tiburon.

No those were only on the 97's. I thought it was just the 1.8's but some 2.0's had them too

I've read this one before...are there any more exact measurements?

I'm not sure how much it costs yet but my friend said they can do my catback for $200 all stainless steel. He got his exhaust and muffler done on his honda for $400 this is canadian funds. Not sure where it is tho...it's just someplace his dad knows...

catbacks usually run 150-200 US funds.
MOST shops do crush bending... *sigh* but you'd want mandrel, which is MUCH more expensive. If you go crush, get 2.5 piping.. if you go Mandrel, get 2.25 if I am correct. smile.gif

if I had my car I would help you, but I'll do my best to DESCRIBE it to you

Mandrel bend: it is machine bent.. it keeps the SAME width throughout, even in the bends... so if you have a 2.25 piping... its going to be 2.25 ALL the way through.

Crush Bent: its crushed to bend.. so lets you get a 2.5 crush piping... the BENDS might only be 2 inches because it has to crush the pipe to bend it. It obstructs the airflow.. so getting a 2.5 will count for the bends and be the same as a 2.25 mandrel... this is cheaper the mandrel.
