Default Polishing IM

Can the intake manifold be polished @ all, because i am going to get it Extrude Honed, but i dont want it to look stock, and i have polished metals before, how smooth can i get it?

You can get it as smooth as you want it. Heck, you could even have it Chromed if you want!

If you are going to try it yourself...good luck. I've NEVER had luck polishing cast alumimum. A local polishing shop here in LA quoted me $125 or $150 to have my IM polished to a mirror sheen, and remove all the casting marks/edges.

ill try, i had some luck polished the one for my FD when i had it, it came out pretty well for my first time, i just used a dremel with the metal polishing kit from home depot, ill post some pics of how it came out when i do it

sorry i dont drive a lowrider so gold plating is out, and i dont want chrome holding the extra heat on my IM, i think polishing it will do a good enough job for me, im gonna pick up a spare so i dont have to rush it
