I have in my Pony a point-type ignition. I have removed a distributor from my '87 Stellar. (Since gone) It is cam driven, whilst my Pony's is crank-driven, and I cannot change them, BUT, the Stellar has a magnetic pickup coil (that connects to - post on coil and to the bottom ballast conector) I was wondering if converting over to magnetic pickup would increase performance, or at best, remove the necessity of changing/gapping points every once in a while. Any suggestions?
Also, what is meant by "recurving" the distributor?
