Mad House Productions (www.mhptuning.com) also sells the Magnacore wires and ususally has them in stock, but they only come in RED. They are seriously beefly wires. You should never have to replace them. I think they are 8.5 or 9mm thick

KORE sells 8mm or 8.5mm wires in various colors that are also high quality.

Magnecor wires has two types: standard OEM replacement (8mm), and KV85 (8.5mm).
ER1 has one for Coupe that is 9mm thick.
Ultra (Japanese) also has one.
I don't have the url's. maybe some here have them.

Eric,

I'm guessing from your name that you own an Accent GSi. I don't know exactly how the boots work on the GSi, but I'm willing to bet money that the spark plug boots you have are fairly shallow.

The Tiburon / Elantra motor (BETA) has EXTREMELY long spark plug boots, on the order of like six inches. That means there is six solid inches of hard rubber that the wire attaches to, and the other end plugs into the spark plug.

Six inches.

There are almost ZERO cars that have this oddball depth on the spark plug boots, hence the reason why you cannot find them almost anywhere except the dealer.

I've been to Pep Boys, AutoZone, Napa and Checker; I've yet to see any "generic" plug wires on the shelf that can be used. They've always been a special-order part, and if you're facing that situation, you might as well get a really good set and spend the few extra bucks.

$44 for stock wires from Hyundai.

$120 for 8.5mm Magnecor KV85's

Yeah they're $80 more, and they really will not provide any additonal performance (stock). But I bet really good money that you'll never wear a set out.

i got a set of kore red sheathed wires and i love them.

i can't remember but i beleive sharkracing was coming out with a second-gen set of wires with tags or labels on them that were pretty good too. random i beleive posted about them.

as for the best, i think mantecore comes with the highest praise and steepest pricetag.
