Default Piston Rings??

Where is a good place to get some stronger piston rings for a 01' Tiburon running 9lbs of boost from a S/C?

Thanks,

If Total Seal makes a set, that's the place.

Total Seal has had a bad repuation for cylinder wall scoring, pistion damage, and sealing problems.

I would ask Onpol where he got his Chrome-moly rings for his stock pistions. Those puppies held up well for him.

Ross makes rings for their pistions, but they might make a set for the stockers if you throw some money at them!

Random is right. Don't buy Total Seal. I had them installed on my Tib when i got boosted and had some problems with the oil rings.Try to get Seal power custom made for the stock pistons or buy a set of pistons with rings.

Is is an import/4cyl thing? Total Seal has a good reputation in the V8 circles.

Ballistic Racing have a set they use in their turbo kits, designed specifically for a turbocharged setup.

The cost is also much less than the rest of the market. $90.00 a set
That is a schweet price for pistion rings made for our stock pistions! Thanks UFB/Ballistic!!!
