Thinking about painting some of my fluid reservoirs either a shiny silver or black, but before I do it...wondered if anyone here had any pics of theirs painted? Curious to see how it looks before I do it.

I did mine a few years back with the chrome paint from autozone. Chipped and cracked off a couple years back. Still have some remnants of it though. Wish I hadn't done it.
Unless you really prep the surface of the reservoirs, they're a really slick plastic, and paints tend to not stick very well.
Not worth the almost ricey look IMO. Just keep them clean.

I had sanded and primed really well but my rad overflow still cracked the paint prob from the heat. The window wash fluid isn't bad I'd have to check and see how it held up though its been a while.
A few tips:
The plastic isn't sand paper friendly it takes a while to get it smooth, best thing to do is sand then prime it, then sand and prime again untill your happy with it.
It's in the engine bay so it's greasy so wash it a bunch of times, the type of plastic they used tends to hold on to grease/ oils.
For the rad over flow try using a high heat primer and paint made for engines. Nothing is as frustrating as sanding your butt off only to have it ruined in 3 days from boiling coolant.
Oh and please don't paint the caps, painting the reservoirs is close to ricey (but I think if done well still acceptable) Painting the caps is just a no no.
