Hey guys I picked up some silicone radiator hoses for my car and I was wondering if theres a way to paint them. Would regular high temp engine heat hold up on silicone or would the paint flake off pretty easily? Thanks for the help.

 

you can paint them, but it probably wont hold up over time.. i painted my stock rubber ones and they end up cracking after a little while and/or if you move them much. the engine movement is the killer on painting the hoses.



there is probably a type of paint that would be better for the hoses and more flexible but i dont know of any.

 

Silicone is pretty tough to paint, especially if it will be flexing alot. You might look for a dye product, but a paint is probably a non-starter.
