opinion, what's yours? ;-)
Ok, I'm thinking about what mod I want to do next. This time I want a performance mod. wink.gif I am eventually going to get both - both will be mine by the end of the year. I don't know which would be better to get first, the cai or the exhaust.
I know that the recomended steps are to start with the front and work yourself back, but since I'm doing the track of both performance and appearance, I'm not really sticking to that anyway.
What do you guys think I should do first? CAI or the exhaust?? As far as what type I'm going to get, I'm waiting for the shark racing to be done to see what that's about. I'm not sure if I'm going to get that or the one from KORE. It also depends on when the shark racing one is completed. I'm also either going to get the shark racing exhaust or the KORE exhaust.
So, what do you guys think?? Give me your thoughts k??

The intake is the cheaper of the two options. It increases you HP/Torque slightly and makes a nice sound! An exhaust system is more expensive of the two and will not add HP/Torque by just adding a muffler. A good catback costs upwards of $500, while the CAI is generally half the price. Just depends on how much you want to spend!

If you were going to do exhaust, I would reccomend the Headers (SR or HVE), and the KORE cat back system.
You're probably looking at close to $1000 with taxes, shipping, install fees and the like.
If you are on a budget...then just dot the KORE cat back.
If you want performance and less "sound", go with a CAI, as the intake "honk" doesnt' compare to the exhaust rumble for total volume.

I think that if you're eventually going to do both and you want to enhance the appearance of your ride go with the exhaust. I say this because it will have the muffler tip and the sound. If you were going for performance first (like me) thhe I would say go with the CAI. just my opinion. smile.gif
I dunno...if you want looks...an exhaust would sound nice...but just think about it...everyone will try to be hard...and want to race and rev up on you right? Well if you get a cai you still get a pretty sweet ass sound, plus if you dress up your engine it looks sooooo awesome. Then when someone thinks they are a hard ass just blow them away... Heh
I would go with an intake first, this way you can improve your HP & TQ numbers and no one will know the better. It could also improve your gas milage a little too.Besides with the exhaust instaled people would come up and start hate'n on your ride rev'n there motors and sh!t, and that sometimes just gets real anoying.
thanks guys for all the opinions. I think that I will go with the intake first. I mean, it will probably only be a couple months before I get the other no matter which I choose. I just have to make sure I save all my $$ so I can make that happen. wink.gif Any new work on when the cai from sr will come out??
