Just had my radiator fluid changed a few weeks ago when i noticed it was really dark. Now once again it's begining to become dark again. I do have some leaking with my head gasket going on so could this be the cause of my dirty antifreeze? There is no antifreeze in the oil it just seems oil in the antifreeze if that makes any sense . Also would anyone know if getting the head gasket fixed be covered under the extended warranty ? And is this something i should be extremely worried about and get fixed immediately or will it be ok for a while ? Thanks for the help.

Yes sir.

Another way to check is to open your antifreeze overflow bottle, does it smell like oil or exhaust?

I'd get it fixed as soon as you can, it'll just lead to bigger problems down the road if you don't.

What extended warranty?

Yep sure does smell like oil. I got the extended warranty when i bought the car. So would anyone know if this is a warranty covered item?

If you didn't mess with it, and the terms of the warranty (they usually spell out exactly what is covered) cover it, yes.

Otherwise no.

Head gaskets are an advanced DIY and may excuse, er, require purchase of additional tools.
