If i have half a tank of 91 octane gas, and put another half a tank of 94 octane gas, does it become 92.5 octane?

Pretty much. Most gas stations usually just have 2 tanks. 1 for regular and 1 for premium. The mid grade is just 2 octanes mixed together when you're pumping.
