also the aftermarket header and flex pipe will bolt directly up to the stock cat.

Yeah grahammk1, mine bolted right up too. I have only heard of one person that had the problem you are referring to.
On the RD there were three exhaust setups that they used so I think it depends on which one they put on your car. Mine was a simple bolt on...the only problem I had was getting one of the bolts out of the cat (rusty). I also got mine from SS Autochrome and can get a good deal on them if anyone still needs one. BTW, yes they come with gaskets too. wink.gif

Stock Cat cant go back on because it is 90degree entry and needs to be straight through -so I have to hope that the baffle coming from SS does the trick. Incidentally, the SS pic shows a straight through system without a mid-pipe silencer, but mine came with a M.P.S. !

Sorry, I was referring to the second cat...the first one came off with the exhaust manifold. Interesting about the M.P.S. wasn't aware they were doing that now....good to know.

Hmm - I could do with getting hold of one of those - I doubt if the test pipe will pass our M.O.T. test emissions. A buddy of mine has attached a 4 x 4 cat and it failed our test because we run too rich
