Default OBX header and O2 sensors

Where do the O2 sensors go in the system? THere is an O2 bung on the pipe that comes with the header, and I would expect the 1st sensor to go there, correct? And the second sensor goes behind the catalytic converter, right? And how hard is it to relocate the O2 sensors? And does anyone have pics of their install? Big Boi, I emailed you because you said that you had just installed one. Thanks to all for their time.

Well, there is a guy over at the HP forums(I believe his name is Tibmeister), who says all you have to do is follow both O2 sensors back and you will see that they are both tied up with looms. Cut the looms and you gain enough length, so you won't have to rewire the sensors.
Supposdly the first sensor is loomed up near the IM, and the second one is loomed up somewhere under the shift plate.

boom.. i emailed u back.. but yourself and tapout are correct... second bung after the cat for the second O2 sensor and you can extend the wires like tapout said. Cut the loom and basically follow them back. Like i said in the email, i havent done this yet cuz im getting my exhaust done next week, so i will do it next week and take pics for you and future reference for others. Here is what i have found:

1stgentibs on HP.com--
"lesson ?: extending- remove plastic surrounding shifter.
- remove plastic surroundind stereo(for hand room
- locate black cable which passes through grommet, leading under car
- you'll notice theres extra slack of cable wrapped and tied
- unwrap/untie cable to give yourself as much slack as you need
*note: the cable slack is on the right of the shifter, mounted to the plastic console
*note 2- cable is black
hope this helps. this is on my car, but i doubt it varies much "

yup that's all you have to do for the second O2 sensor. For the first O2 sensor, just unwrap the wire loom and pull out the harness for the sensor all the way back to were all the harness meet and wrapped the ignition coil. that should give you enough slack to reach all the way down the pipe for the headers. As far as the second O2 and the bung for it. Any muffler shop can drill and weld a nut on you pipe after the cat. In my case, the cat that I bought came with an O2 sensor bung already to comply with the OBDII emmission requirements. So I didn't have any problem with that. Any ways I got the cat at EXTREME FLOW. It a super flow catalytic converter that supposedly out flow Random Tech and some other cats in the market. they had it dyno too.

I'll try to take pictures tommorow.

Can someone post a pic of the cable that was undone inside the car? I thought I got the right one, but apparantly not, as the shop was unable to pull the wire down. suicide
