Then you just need to skip to 5th a few times instead of using 3 & 4, then when you go back to using 3 it will be like a rocket!

I used to have a Ford F-350 with a 390 cubic inch displacement engine. I left it in 4th gear at a stop light and didn't really notice until I had got up to speed. "Gee, I sure had to feather the clutch a lot to get go . . . oh, because it's in 4th!

THAT thing had some nuts to it.

So problem solved banana.gif

I replaced the timing chain and the chain guide; spark plugs and cables;

Now I'm really happy with the car...no ticking and the response is very good.
